Notes for OVAL GREEN GUY
This is a miniature 2.875 INCH drawing rendered using a mechanical pencil holding 2mm graphite leads from 8H to 4B, along with various colored ballpoint pens. The original inspiration for this drawing was a young man of the 1850’s who was photographed in a skylight portrait studio on a wet plate Collodion silver sensitized glass plate and presented as an Ambrotype, which I was to purchase at a secondhand store 130 years later. During this phase of my technique evolution, I was still refining and understanding the precisionistic potential of this medium in conjunction with color.
